Der Eintritt in den Park ist kostenlos, ebenso das Parken. Tickets werden lediglich für kostenpflichtige Attraktionen benötigt.
Das neu gebaute zweite Schiffshebewerk in Niederfinow überwindet ein Gefälle von 36 Metern. Nach gut 13 Jahren Bauzeit soll der Testbetrieb noch bis ins dritte Quartal 2022 laufen, bevor das Bauwerk offiziell eingeweiht wird. Gesteuert wird es von einem einzigen Mitarbeiter dessen Bedienstand fast 50 Meter über dem Erdboden liegt.
Nach siebenjähriger Schließung und Sanierung ist das Schlosstheater des Neuen Palais wieder für Aufführungen geöffnet! Das Schlosstheater gehört zu den schönsten noch erhaltenen barocken Theatern Europas. Seit Herbst 2021 wird es – nach intensiven Restaurierungsmaßnahmen – wieder bespielt. Im außergewöhnlichen Ambiente des Schauspielortes finden Opern, Konzerte und Theater sowie Tagungen statt.
Im Frühjahr 2022 nimmt das DAS MINSK, das neue Museum für Moderne Kunst in Potsdam, seinen Ausstellungsbetrieb auf. Basis ist die umfangreiche, über Jahre aufgebaute Sammlung Hasso Plattners, der Kunstwerke aus der ehemaligen DDR zusammentrug.
Eine Perle des Klosters Neuzelle ist der 2022 komplett wiederhergestellte Klostergarten. Mit seinen im 18. Jahrhundert errichteten Wegen und Gewässern, steil abfallenden Terrassen sowie dem historischen Pflanzenbestand, darunter zahlreiche Zitronenbäume, gilt er heute als einziger Barockgarten Brandenburgs.
Den Baumkronenpfad Baum und Zeit besuchen und den Blick weit schweifen lassen. An klaren Tagen reicht der sogar bis nach Berlin. Ein neu gestalteter Rundgang gibt Blicke auf die Heino-Schmieden-Bauten des ersten Bauabschnittes (bis 1902 errichtet) frei und die Südseite der Chirurgie ist aus der Vogelperspektive zu betrachten.
Am 14. April startet die 7. brandenburgische Landesgartenschau in der Spargelstadt Beelitz. Sie ist bis Ende Oktober zu erleben. Zwischen der historischen Altstadt und dem Flüsschen Nieplitz gelegen, bietet das Gartenschaugelände auf 15 Hektar Fläche viele Eindrücke um das Thema Garten und Gaumen.
